June 2003 was another year of graduation season. Hu Xiaolei (Ah Nan) and Xu Chuan have both been officially discharged after passing all of their requirements. It was only at this time that they realize the significance of the moment. They are about to leave the school grounds for good, the place where they have spent more than a decade of their lives.

For their hopes and dreams, they work towards their own paths - opening a company, starting up a magazine and making it their own. During the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake, they are the people who strived to help in any way that they can. During the 2008 Olympics, they look towards the future as adults.

2003年6月，畢業季。首都大學99級畢業生胡小磊和許川兩人通過體檢出院，才真正認識到十幾年來，在他們的人生中占據重大比例的校園生活已經離他們遠去，而擺在他們面前的，是一個偌大而陌生的社會。他們為著自己獨立自由的理想而奮鬥，開辦了《尋人公司》，創立了《80後》雜志，甚至組織了年輕人自己的廉租房《後青春公寓》。但當祖國遭遇《5.12》汶川大地震後，每一個80後的年青人都用自己的方式，全力向祖國表達著自己的愛。經歷過災難的洗禮，2008北京奧運會，一群長大成人的80後，在天安門，看著焰火打出的《大腳印》從他們頭上走過，走向遠方。
